SIPAD-Intégratik

Robotization consists of implementing software-based robots (bots) to automate repetitive computer tasks. The SIPAD–Intégratik project by CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal implements this approach by automating the transfer of clinical hours and notes between the two systems.

This project automates time entry for service delivery, professional activities and progress notes—all information the MSSS requires to track and coordinate activities at the centralized access point for DI-TSA-DP (intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder or physical disability). As SIPAD, a mandatory MSSS tool, lacks user-friendly features for healthcare professionals, Intégratik was selected as the main tool for recording clinical data.

Prior to the implementation of our project, information entered in Intégratik had to be re-entered manually in SIPAD by administrative staff. This dual entry resulted in delays, a high risk of errors, loss of confidence in the data and an increase in the use of correction forms (AH223). This also added to the administrative burden—meaning less time was available to spend on patients. This project was carried out jointly by the information resources division and DI-TSA-DP. It uses a software bot to provide automated, secure and reliable data transfer between the two systems.

The results speak for themselves: a 99% efficiency rate, the complete elimination of AH223 forms, a significant improvement in data quality and a saving of over 12% in clinical time for users. The bot can support up to 200 users, equivalent to the work of four administrative officers. This automation helps us refocus our efforts where they are most needed—to help users.
