HISTORY

 

In the 1960s, several groups of unions decided to found group caisses in their communities to create a collective financial force.

In 2001, a decision was made to merge the caisses in the health care sector in Montreal, Lanaudière, Richelieu-Yamaska, Hautes-Laurentides, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Charlevoix and Quebec City in order to have greater resources to meet the needs of health care workers.

Building lasting, effective business relationships with employees, unions and organizations operating in the health care system has always been at the heart of the Caisse’s project.
