The Caisse Desjardins du Réseau de la santé performs well for its members and clients

On April 5th, the Caisse Desjardins du Réseau de la santé held its virtual Annual General Meeting. This was an opportunity for members to learn about its most recent financial results. They then had four days to exercise their right to vote on the member dividend.

As a result of this democratic process, the surplus sharing proposal that was accepted at the annual general meeting confirms the payment of a total of $2.4 million in patronage dividends. An amount of $2.07 million will be paid to members in the form of individual dividends and $313,934 will be used to fund the Community Development Fund (CDF). “This amount is a form of return to the community that allows us to concretely demonstrate Desjardins’ presence and cooperative nature. I would like to thank our members who, by doing business with us, allow us to contribute to enriching the lives of individuals and our community,” said Claude Gareau, Chair at the Caisse.

As for its financial performance in 2022, the Caisse will have operating surplus earnings of $11.39 million, up 24.84% compared to 2021. Its business volume increased by 10.40% to $2.78 billion during the same period.

In addition to the member dividends and the aforementioned MDF feed, in 2022 the Caisse distributed $227,593 to the community, including $15,693 in sponsorships and donations, as well as $211,900 through its Community Development Fund.

Finally, 5 positions were to be filled on the Caisse’s Board of Directors and we received a number of applications equal to the number of positions to be filled. The following were elected by acclamation

– Claude Gareau for the Montérégie region group

– Christine Mc Carthy for the Montreal region group
